My Nvidia 9500GT w/ 1Gb of memory is not reset/cleared during boot.

During the boot, when the GUI has been activated, I get a patterned background, It is likely this is the residue from the card's internal tests of lower card memory.

When the log in screen is displayed, the background is either random, or what still resides in (the higher?) memory.

Regardless, I am forced to use <cntrl><alt><bksp> keys to clear up the display.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Self test patterns and residual memory display.

Expected Results:
No patterns during GUI system install, Correct background for login.

This is a duplicate (though older) of a bug that I sent and is presently being worked on.
