Description Arvin Schnell 2012-08-31 14:00:50 UTC
I made an update with zypper dup from 12.1 to 12.2.

The package xf86-video-intel was not installed automatically which results
in bad video performance. The package xorg-x11-driver-video-intel-legacy
was installed.
Comment 1 Stefan Dirsch 2012-09-02 09:24:30 UTC
Ok. Apparently it's not sufficient to have

  Supplements: xorg-x11-server

in the package spec file for the package to be pulled in during a system update via "zypper dup", although xorg-x11-server has been updated as well.

We need to add xf86-video-intel to Requires of xorg-x11-driver-video again.
Comment 2 Stefan Dirsch 2012-09-02 09:29:19 UTC
Fixed for openSUSE 12.2 (SR#132305).
Comment 3 Marcus Meissner 2012-09-03 12:41:18 UTC
not sure if a Recommends would be better here, as PowerPC and ARM do not have the package?
Comment 4 Stefan Dirsch 2012-09-04 08:08:14 UTC
Well, honestly I no longer trust weak deps like Recommends, but for sure I can add this Requires only for %ix86 and x86_64. New SR: #132471
