Description Freek de Kruijf 2012-11-14 22:25:55 UTC
After selecting a screen size, using F2, this screen size is not present in the configuration of GRUB2. The field VGA mode is left empty. The result is that the user, after logging in, gets a very small window. Using YaST -> System -> Bootloader, button Bootloader options, one needs to select an option in the field VGA mode in order to get a reasonable sized window.

On my laptop I still have problems with the screen settings in GRUB2 in openSUSE 12.3. The GRUB2 menu does not look nice, whereas this screen is OK om my desktop.
Shortly after the boot screen, when pressing Esc, I get the log in large characters on the screen. Only after plymouth is activated halfway the boot log, I get the nice looking screen with small characters, like I get on my desktop.

Do you need pictures of my screens?
