YaST2 Logs
Sorry, but I don't see a bug. 'openSUSE 12.1 Updates' simply contains patches which are not available in '12.2 OSS Updates' or '12.2 Non OSS Updates'. E.g the 1st patch in the your 'YOU Conflicts' list, patch::openSUSE-2012-796, is AFAIK not available in any 12.2 repo. So priorities don't help you. There is no version of this patch in a repo with higher priority. If the patch is applicable, YOU has to select it. You should not use a 12.1 (or any other foreign) update repo on a 12.2 system. Well, at least you should not use the patches from the old distros repo. If you are interested in some packages from this repo, lock the patches. Then YOU should not try to select them anymore: zypper al -t patch -r openSUSE_12.1_Updates '*' The situation was indeed slightly different on older distros, where patches were frequently named after the packages they fix. A 10.2 patch for e.g 'bind' would have been superseded by a 'bind' patch in a 11.4 update repo. But with the new patch naming schema there are far less overlapping names. |
Created attachment 516754 [details] YOU Conflicts User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux i686) Presto/2.12.388 Version/12.10 I upgraded a few of my computers to 12.2. I added the 12.2 Update repo so I can use the yast2-ldap-client. The new one does not have NIS map options. Software Management and zypper update does not get any conflicts. It looks like YOU is not applying the priorities and is trying to update from the 12.1 repo. I have used old repos in the past and YOU was able to sort out the priorities. My 11.4 server still has a 10.2 repo for jabber. 20 openSUSE 12.2 OSS Updates 21 openSUSE 12.2 Non OSS Updates 100 openSUSE 12.2 OSS 101 openSUSE 12.2 Non OSS 102 openSUSE 12.2 Nvidia 110 openSUSE 12.1 Updates Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.yast2 2.you 3.
