Installed KDE4 straight into a real partition with the x86_DVD, requesting "automatic configuration". Issues:

1. Realtek 811e onboard lan adapter is identified, but not configured. Also, as opposed to 12.2, it requires a reboot after manually configuring in Yast, for the settings to take effect. Same happened in M2.

2. As someone else has noted, configuring a time server in NTP results in a Yast2 error "Cannot adjust NTP service". No such problem in M2.

3 For my onboard Realtek audio adapter, received message at logon, "The audio playback deevice HDA Intel PCH (ALC889 Analog) does not work. Falling back to HDA Intel PCH, HDMI 0 (HDMI audio output)". Same behaviour in M2. Analog works fine in and up to 12.2.

4. Yast software manager came up with a infinitely looping "Ask packagekit to quit" message when refreshing repos. Believe this is an Apper conflict? No problem in M2.

5. Patience doesn't work. Regardless of game selected, it's the same one, and even that doesn't work. Same behaviour as M2.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install from DVD
2. Run tests
3.

Assigning to YaST team as most of the bugs are YaST related, can you please fill the rest separately as that needs different maintainers assigned?
Comment 2 Arvin Schnell 2013-02-22 16:01:36 UTC
Please create a separate bug report for each issue and for YaST releated bugs provide YaST logs right away, see http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Bugreport_YaST.

Ref #1 (I'm the original poster):
1. Fixed; seems to work fine in 12.3 RC1
2. This problem fixed in RC1, but NTP still does not work; subject of:
      https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=803644
3. Still get the message in RC1, but workaround is to delete pulse-module-X11.
4. RC1 does not exhibit this; presume fixed.
5. Patience works properly in RC1.

Since it is more than a month since I wrote up this bug report, and most of the items have apparently been fixed by RC1, I am going to close the report.
