Description Cristian Rodríguez 2013-02-28 07:22:53 UTC
pm-utils contains a redundant/obsolete init script: /etc/init.d/cpufreq that

- tries to load cpu cpufreq drivers, including some that no longer exist.
This is handled by the kernel since

http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git;a=commit;h=fa8031aefec0cf7ea6c2387c93610d99d9659aa2

that is 3.4-rcx

- tries to load governors too, that is handled by the kernel since

http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git;a=commit;h=ea71497020c55cd39221e0abad5c1752ac6e3f47

(circa 2006)

Suggest removal of the script in question asap.

12.2 online update that you submitted says:

Retrieving: pm-utils-1.4.1-18.10.1.x86_64.rpm .........................................................................................................................................[done]
Installing: pm-utils-1.4.1-18.10.1 ....................................................................................................................................................[done]
Additional rpm output:
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.IEGGdn: line 8: /etc/init.d/cpufreq: No such file or directory

Due to the %postun of the existing pm-utils

But it does not seem to harm, so we can proceed I think.
