yast in text mode was able to install xterm and firefox with no problem, but when requested to install gnucash, upon accept, it quickly pops back to the yast control center screen.

(it is running in a chroot unpacked from download.openvz.org/template/precreated/suse-12.2-x86_64.tar.gz, the chroot is on top of rhel6, the kernel is openvz-kernel-rhel6/vzkernel-2.6.32-042stab074.10.x86_64.rpm)

the environment of the shell invoking yast is attached

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch yast, select install software
2. search and select gnucash
3. accept
Actual Results:
pops back to the yast control center screen

Expected Results:
install gnucash
