Hello team,
I'm not linux advanced user, so don't blame me if I'm telling about known issue.
I installed OpenSuse 12.3 (like it more and more meanwhile) with Gnome desctop enviroment only. And for some strange reason in Yast2 Settings in file /etc/YaST2/ProductFeauters in "default desktop" was "kde". I simply wrote gnome and on next restart system seems to work smoother. I hope it can help somebody.
Kindly regards Denis Lanshchikov

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.nano /etc/YaST2/ProductFeauters
2.find line default_desctop ="kde"
3.

Expected Results:
 default_desctop ="kgnome"

Yes, you can switch between kde and gnome.
But I can hardly see how this would be a bug.
Closing.
