Description Arvin Schnell 2013-08-09 09:23:32 UTC
mkfs.btrfs fails with the message "error checking /dev/sda2 mount status"
just like in the old bug #697671.

ISO is openSUSE-Factory-DVD-Build0653-i586.iso.

This bug still hits me on openSUSE-Factory-NET-x86_64-Build0718.

https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/186577 seems to indicate that the proposed fix was revoked due to build problems.
When will a fix make it to the installation media ?
Comment 7 Stephan Kulow 2013-09-18 04:36:19 UTC
if the specific request was accepted or not is not really interesting - what counts is that https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file/openSUSE:Factory/btrfsprogs/btrfsprogs.changes?expand=1 has the bug fix in.

But what you most likely fell into: the NET iso still needs factory repos and you need to change the default repos to factory repo.
