Using a USB stick I attempted to install openSUSE 13.1 RC 1 on a Asus s500CA laptop with secure boot and fast boot disabled. (EFI system). Grub hung on every attempt at loading kernel message, and would not go any further. Tried various combinations of fast boot and secure boot enabled/disabled and nothing seemed to work. 12.3 works with both options disabled.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot from installer to grub by picking USB stick in EFI menu
2. select installation
3.
Actual Results:
hangs on loading kernel message

Expected Results:
Kernel should load and installation should proceed
