During installation I sometimes get screen distortion and a long
delay.

I have fixed the sntp console output in yast2-ntp-client-3.1.1 (Factory/13.2).

I guess the delay was likely caused by network problems, during my tests it was really quick, only in one case it took like 2 seconds. That looks OK for me.
