Description Yasha Gindikin 2013-11-23 14:57:31 UTC

With the UPower stock version of 0.9.21, system logs are flooded with following messages:

UPower-Linux-WARNING **: failed to coldplug unifying device: invalid response from device: 15

They pertain to the Logitech wireless receiver (used to connect mice, keyboards, etc).

Besides, the mouse battery level is determined incorrectly.

These are known problems of UPower 0.9.21, which are fixed in version 0.9.23, see
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/36449

Indeed, installing UPower 0.9.23 from Factory resolves the problems.
Should we upgrade UPower package in openSUSE 13.1 through the updates?

Reproducible: Always

@Maintenance team,
is it OK from your POV that i submit 0.9.23?

@Yasha,
please test

Comment 3 Yasha Gindikin 2013-11-23 19:14:49 UTC
Your packages are perfectly OK, as far as I can tell. The bugs are gone.
Comment 4 Benjamin Brunner 2013-11-25 17:32:05 UTC
Hi Sumski, the changes look good for an update, but it looks like that there went something wrong with editing the changelog. There are a lot of additions and deletions in older commits. (Perhaps rebranch the package from openSUSE:13.1:Update and reapply the changes.)
When this is fixed, we can start an update. Thanks!
Comment 5 Forgotten User DV81ZEWZkN 2013-11-25 17:37:09 UTC
@Benjamin,
that is due to Kate's remove whitespaces feature ;-)
If it doesn't look good, i will indeed just re-base againt 13.1.
Comment 6 Benjamin Brunner 2013-11-25 17:42:42 UTC
That would be great. Otherwise it'll be probably declined from the review-team.
