Description Ralf Friedl 2014-03-12 15:39:40 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:27.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.0

I have a PC with an ISDN card. Yes, they still exist.
I wanted to configure the ISDN card with yast.

When I want to save the configuration, I get the message
These packages need to be installed:
 qinternet
I can only choose install or cancel. When I choose cancel, I get the message "The configuration will be aborted."

First, I don't want a package qinternet installed. But I said yes anyway, thinking I could remove it after that. But yast started to download a huge number of packages, which I stopped after some time. I the started yast sw_single to see the dependency list of qinternet:
Mesa Mesa-libEGL1 Mesa-libGL1 Mesa-libglapi0 libLLVM libX11-xcb1 libXcursor1 libXdamage1 libXfixes3 libXi6 libXrandr2 libXxf86vm1 libasound2 libdrm2 libdrm_intel1 libdrm_nouveau2 libdrm_radeon1 libgbm1 liblcms1 libmng1 libmysqlclient18 libpciaccess0 libqt4 libqt4-sql libqt4-sql-mysql libqt4-x11 libwayland-client0 libwayland-server0 libxcb-dri2-0 libxcb-glx0 libxcb-xfixes0 pptp psmisc smpppd wvdial wvstreams
In don't want to install any of these packages, except for maybe psmisc which might be useful, but is not related to the ISDN card.

So please remove this dependency on qinternet, or at lease provide a way to save the configuration without installing qinternet and all the other packages.

By the way, I don't want to use the ISDN for internet, but even then I would not want any of the above packages installed, including smpppd.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. yast indn
2. press edit
3. press ok
4. press ok
Actual Results:
yast insists on installing qinternet and a buch of other packages.

Expected Results:
yast doesn't install qinternet, or at least keeps it optional.

ISDN configuration was dropped. It is not longer supported since yast2-network 3.1.11
