Description Forgotten User dH2Y-YXEfD 2014-10-22 18:09:04 UTC
Hello,

In openSUSE 13.2 RC1, the KDE Printer Manager utility is useless because it needs root permissions to configure the printer. The first problem is that the root authentication dialog appears behind the main kcm_printer_manager window, but additionally the authentication doesn't accept focus or input, so it's completely broken.

Thanks for looking into this.

Already reported, and a known (upstream) KDE bug.

Run systemsettings as root to configure your printers ("kdesu systemsettings"), or navigate to http://localhost:631 in a web browser.
