There is a resolving bug on the GNOME/meld Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=741287 

When you use meld with the gtk3-oxygen theme in kde4 the background of the source view is black and so nothing is readable. It seems like they fixed it. So it would be nice to see the patch in openSuse 13.2.

I tested the upgraded package and the background is white again. Thank you. When will this land in the main repos?

Bug seems to be fixed, but report is still open. Besides openSUSE 13.2 reaches EOL in the next couple of weeks. I propose a status change to RESOLVED FIXED
