Description Forgotten User CkDND5Y5e3 2015-01-04 18:59:46 UTC
The settings in:
yast > security center and hardening > misc. settings:
Current directory in root's path
Current directory in Path of regular users
Do not have any effect, changes in them will not get saved.

(I check either or both, click ok, then come back, the checkboxes stay empty (and ./ does not get added to PATH))

The settings have been removed from /etc/sysconfig, it should be removed from Yast as well...

They have been removed with 3.1.5 (boo#900829).

So it has been fixed for Tumbleweed but not for 13.2 (only 3.1.4 is available).

Some people want to reintroduce the feature by the way : https://github.com/openSUSE/aaa_base/pull/19

Antoine, thanks for the reference!

I'm marking it as a duplicate of boo#900829, if they restore the settings back we will need to revert the removal in Yast, so let's see how it evolves...

[In 13.2 ignore the options for now, IMHO it's not worth of releasing a maintenance update for this...]
