Description Robert Munteanu 2015-04-16 21:11:11 UTC
On a fresh TW install, after installing VirtualBox and creating a VM ( via vagrant ) the VM refuses to start. The VirtualBox GUI warns that either the kernel module is not loaded ( it is ) or that the user is unable to access /dev/vboxdrv. My user is already a member of the vboxusers group, so I checked the permissions on /dev/vboxdrv , and they are 600 root:root, due to /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/60-vboxdrv.rules containing

KERNEL=="vboxdrv", NAME="vboxdrv", OWNER="root", GROUP="root", MODE="0600"

I have changed the file for now to the 0660 and group = vboxusers, and now virtualbox works as expected.

Thanks for the report. It makes sense to change the perms to your liking so I sent SR# to Factory.

Hopefully it will be included in next TW snapshot :)
