I don't think Imagewriter was ever intended for Windows isos. It requires an iso that uses a hybrid format. That is, the format must be valid for a disk drive (such as a USB) as well as for a DVD. I don't think Windows uses hybrid isos. Microsoft has instruction for preparing an install USB. I'm told, also, that "rufus" will work (you can google for "rufus"). Then the error message should state that. Right now it just says it can't with no explanation as to what the problem is. This is nearly a dup of bug 851177 IMHO we should update the docs to point to working tools *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 851177 *** |
