Description Michel Normand 2015-05-06 14:18:35 UTC
yast error while saving bootloader configuration with invalid token: legacy_boot

The used iso:
Tumbleweed-BE-DVD-ppc64-Snapshot20150427-Media.iso retrieved from
https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/60042/asset/2978

The reported error message copied from yast ncurse:
=== Performing Installation
...
An error occurred during boot loader
installation. Retry boot loader configuration?
[Yes] [No]
===

The target machine is a P8 previously installed with Ubuntu on /dev/sda
After above error message I aborted the install and switch to Linuxrc shell interface to capture the yast logs.

I am appending the fresh_yast2_saving_config_error_y2log_subset.log file
that detail the log of mbr_update.rb reporting the invalid token error.

and keeping all YaSt2 log file in fresh_yast2_saving_config_error_trial2_cat_files.log.gz

legacy_boot is not problem why it failed. To get real reason why it failed to create config please upload content of /var/log/pbl.log where is stored result of grub2 call.
Comment 4 Michel Normand 2015-06-05 15:14:52 UTC
I am changing this bug as duplicate of bug #933651
because found in attached log of comment #1 that same error message
===
grub2-install: error: ofpathname: not found
===

Anyway I captured in this other bug the requested pb1.log in attachment referenced in https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=933651#c11
