wicked show-config

wicked does not use the ETHTOOL_OPTIONS configured in the /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-xxx files.

I am using wicked-0.6.18-15.1.x86_64.

# cat /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth1
BOOTPROTO='static'
BROADCAST=''
ETHTOOL_OPTIONS='-G eth1 rx 4096'
IPADDR='192.168.1.2/24'
MTU='6000'
NAME='Intel Ethernet controller'
NETWORK=''
REMOTE_IPADDR=''
STARTMODE='auto'
USERCONTROL='no'
LINK_REQUIRED='no'

# ethtool -g eth1
Ring parameters for eth1:
Pre-set maximums:
RX:             4096
RX Mini:        0
RX Jumbo:       0
TX:             4096
Current hardware settings:
RX:             256
RX Mini:        0
RX Jumbo:       0
TX:             256

Expected results are (which works at least with OpenSUSE 12.3):
# ethtool -g eth1
Ring parameters for eth1:
Pre-set maximums:
RX:             4096
RX Mini:        0
RX Jumbo:       0
TX:             4096
Current hardware settings:
RX:             4096
RX Mini:        0
RX Jumbo:       0
TX:             256
Comment 1 Marius Tomaschewski 2015-10-21 02:42:54 UTC
It never worked via ETHTOOL_OPTIONS, also not on SLE-11 or 12.3 -> enhancement.
Comment 2 Marius Tomaschewski 2015-10-21 04:45:06 UTC
Wrong... it did. wicked currently does not support -G.
Comment 3 Tomáš Chvátal 2018-04-12 14:04:36 UTC
This version of openSUSE changed to end-of-life (EOL [1]) status. As such
it is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any
further security or bug fix updates.
As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
openSUSE, or consider the bug still valid, please feel free to reopen this
bug against that version, or open a new ticket.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed
during the lifetime of the release.
