The system has openSUSE Tumbleweed 20150811 installed.

Afterwards I had no longer been able to start a new openvpn session.

Going back to 2.3.7-1.1 solved the issue.

I missed this and got the bad update via Tumbleweed this morning. What fun tracing this on the train.

Ismail, thanks for fixing this so quickly.

However, I'd dare to point out that something like this should be a reason to pull the broken update immediately. Any SUSE employee on Tumbleweed currently cannot work via the VPN unless the find this bug report or work around it.
