Description macias - 2015-08-23 17:56:12 UTC
Until FF 39.x worked fine (and including those series), with update to FF 40.x I noticed that I can enter main page of Amazon, but if I go to any book (for example) and scroll for a while I got freeze of entire Firefox.

I cannot revert to 39.x because some library was updated with FF and I lost the track what lib was that. So maybe it is not FF fault itself, but associated library.

You still should be able to go back to FF39 to be able to compare and see if the issue is gone.
Also it would be interesting to know if a Firefox upstream tarball shows the same behaviour.
Your error description seems not to be openSUSE or platform specific but more a general issue probably.

Downgrading FF itself does not help -- FF keeps freezing on Amazon. And I don't remember what was upgraded along with FF 40.x so I cannot truly revert that upgrade.

There has not been any response for four weeks, so marking this as NORESPONSE (cleanup). It's likely that this issue has been fixed in recent versions of Firefox (cannot reproduce) -- if not please reopen.
