Description Günter Alzinger 2015-09-17 14:56:07 UTC
detected in openSUSE 20150909 "Tumbleweed" - Kernel \r (\l).

At the beginning of the installation setup I already selected the "german" language and keyboard, but it was only really set after a reboot and additional configuration in the "system-keyboardlayout".

best regards

Actually there were problems regarding this in the installer and the base system (the mappings between the console and Xorg keyboard layouts AIUI), that should be fixed since weeks.
See also Bug#943735.

In particular also the german keyboard layout was not working at all if you configured it in YaST (the "deadkeys" variant worked fine though).
I saw this here as well, but cannot reproduce it any more.

Let's close it as fixed therefore.
Please feel free to reopen if you still see this with a current Tumbleweed snapshot.
