Description Forgotten User h2nS8Og8S6 2015-09-22 18:49:42 UTC
Postfix config reverts back to default when you change network settings through Yast

Steps to reproduce:

1. open YAST and configure network adapter to use static IP
2. configure postfix to use custom relay with SSL and authentication
3. open YAST again and change default gateway of NIC
4. note that main.cf and master.cf have been reverted back to default

Attach Yast logs please.
Comment 2 Lukas Ocilka 2015-09-23 07:37:53 UTC
Just an idea, do you use btrfs with snapshots enabled?

I think the key line in the log is this one:

2015-09-22 11:26:39 <1> linux(44083) [Ruby] network/runtime.rb:41 Updating sendmail and/or postfix configuration.
Comment 5 Forgotten User h2nS8Og8S6 2015-09-23 07:53:12 UTC
And yes, I use default install template with btrfs, snapshots and XFS as home. Just default installation
Comment 6 Lukas Ocilka 2015-09-29 10:53:49 UTC
Yes, and this only calls:

  /usr/lib/sendmail.d/update 2>/dev/null
  /usr/sbin/config.postfix 2>/dev/null

and it hasn't changed for quite some time.

Clearly duplicate of bnc#852604.

See discussion on that starts at bnc#852604#c6
