Description Jiri Slaby 2015-09-29 15:22:47 UTC
I am on tumbleweed and mostly when I boot a machine, thunderbird fails to connect to an IMAP server. TB is set to start right after KDE starts. So network is not up at that moment, but becomes available in a short while. But TB still cannot connect to a server when that happens and neither will recover. Right now, imap.gmail.com is OK, imap.suse.de is not in one instance. But it is random.

TB writes:
jslaby@suse.cz: Vyhledano imap.suse.de...

which means "Found imap.suse.de"

And then, a KDE notification appears:
connection to server jslaby@suse.cz failed.

Firefox has the same problem sometimes, based also on a pure random basis.

I tried to restart nscd, but it did not help. I have to restart the application to have it working (go offline -> online does not help either).
