== observation ==
When switching my displays, e.g. disconnecting my notebook from a docking station with an additional monitor, konsole sometime disappears but the konsole process along with all shell sessions but I can not access them anymore.

I am running a DELL notebook E7250 with Intel graphics.

== steps to reproduce ==
(unclear) enable/disable additional displays, change to text console until konsole (along with plasmashell?) disappeared/crashed


== expected results ==
 - konsole stays in foreground and accessible or *at least* is cleanly shutting down
