Description Robby Engelmann 2016-01-02 16:53:22 UTC
The new plymouth-branding does not fit the actual screen size (right and left black stripes)
Screen config in KDE is set as 1366x768.

You can test it by installing plymouth-branding-openSUSE from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/1Antoine1:/branches:/Base:/System/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/

-Added your repo
-zypper dup-ed
-works fine now
-thanks and please submit to factory too :-)

can I leave your repo activated or is it at higher risk to break something badly?

Request #351890 (https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/351890).

It won't break anything, however the repo will be deleted when the request is accepted, so you'll have to remove it from your repo list eventually.

It looks like Dim* has committed some changes to the branding-openSUSE package: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/351912. The plymouth script now loads a background image whose ratio corresponds to the screen ratio, instead of scaling a single image like I did.

It breaks my request but I guess it fixes the problem too.

This is submitted already to Tumbleweed again and is in staging.
