Description macias - 2016-02-17 18:25:35 UTC
This is continuation of the report:
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=963319

I was trying to install kernel patches and the /boot partition was involved. Installation failed because the partition was mounted as read-only, but rpm claimed the reason of the failure was not enough disk space.

The error message:

Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: Free diskspace below /boot: 1790704 blocks
error: unpacking of archive failed on file /boot/.vmlinuz-3.16.7-29-desktop.hmac;56a33529: cpio: open failed - No such file or directory
error: kernel-desktop-3.16.7-29.1.x86_64: install failed

This version of openSUSE changed to end-of-life (EOL [1]) status. As such
it is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any
further security or bug fix updates.
As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
openSUSE, or consider the bug still valid, please feel free to reopen this
bug against that version, or open a new ticket.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed
during the lifetime of the release.
