I am not doubting that the behaviour you are seeing is bothering you. Did you refer to the information given regarding peculiarities of btrfs? I am sure you will be able to find an explanation. Due to the lack of technical information given that would distinguish it from the other disk full events, this cannot be regarded as a defect at this point.
