Statement from maintenance: openSUSE:Leap:42.1:Update/libdlm is inherited from SUSE:SLE-12:Update. Maintenance updates for this package would come via the SLE maintenance process, or updates in service packs. If you have a strong and valid case for forking this particular package, and are committing to maintaining a separate version and accept all consequences, please give the reasons and advise. By default, this will not result in an version update for openSUSE Leap 42.1, and the request would be resolved-wontfix. Alright, then I'll make it through MU process. > > If you have a strong and valid case for forking this particular package, and > are committing to maintaining a separate version and accept all > consequences, please give the reasons and advise. Being inherited directly from SLE is good for maintaining. > > By default, this will not result in an version update for openSUSE Leap > 42.1, and the request would be resolved-wontfix. You mean there is no auto updating relationship between openSUSE Leap and SLE, though it's inherited from SLE? and how about opensuse13.2? Thanks! Sorry that was a mis-communication: Leap package inherited from SLE + SLE update -> same Leap update will be made. This happens automagically, by script via openSUSE:Maintenance. Information about which package comes from where is in openSUSE:Leap:42.1:Update/00Meta We can update the auto-relationship if required and have done so both ways. > how about opensuse13.2? You are free to make maintenance submissions, although we would prefer concise patches if they fix a bug. Closing now. (SLE change needs specific bug/feature/ECO) Hello Andreas Stieger, I want to do this for sle sp2 which is coming! So what is the process I can follow? Still MU process? I really appreciate your help!
