Description Wolfgang Rosenauer 2016-05-10 21:38:15 UTC
The pure-ftpd version in Leap 42.1 does not allow any LDAP authentication apparently.
I used it with version 1.0.36 before on openSUSE 11.4 without problems and I simply upgraded to 1.0.42 from OBS "network" now to make it work again.

The upstream changelog has no obvious entry about that though.
It could be a sideffect of that fix:
  - LDAP force_default_gid and force_default_uid now work as documented
while I'm not using any of those.

So this bug is not relevant for Factory but I recommend to update the 42.1 version to a working one.

The update should also contain the fix for bug 872430.

I will prepare a maintenance update (including a version update.
