Use --isohybrid option for installation media when using live-fat-stick/live-grub-stick or live-usb-gui as it does not have support needed for booting from iso on a partition. You will lose all data on the stick. (In reply to Jigish Gohil from comment #1) > Use --isohybrid option for installation media when using > live-fat-stick/live-grub-stick or live-usb-gui as it does not have support > needed for booting from iso on a partition. > > You will lose all data on the stick. I will explore if there is a way we can keep install iso intact like live media on a partition and install from that. In the mean time you can test live 42.2 iso which will work with live-usb-gui --suse option from here: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/cyberorg:/branches:/Education/images/iso/ 0.4.1 live-usb-gui+live-grub-stick support openSUSE install media iso on non-vfat grub supported partition. |
Created attachment 687057 [details] image I download openSUSE 42.2alfa3 ISO, write it with „Live USB GUI“ v0.3.1 in openSUSE 13.2. I reboot computer from USB-key, I select to boot to install ALFA, I see green line at bottom, but finally I get blue Linuxrc window with message "Please make sure your installation medium is available" and dialog to choose URL for medium.
