AFAIK this is a bug in boost. See https://github.com/boostorg/optional/pull/19 This PR also includes a patch to boost which should resolve the issue. So, should we patch boost? If it's an issue in boost - then yes, we should patch boost. CC Adrian, who submitted boost 1.61 SR#420002 should solve this. See comments in boo#994378. Builds now.
