Description Rajasekhar DP 2017-01-23 15:42:34 UTC
I have installed brand new opensuse leap 42.2 on my new laptop . Post installation I can see display freezes randomly but very frequently . Because of this I need to a hard reboot everytime to get things working . I use mate desktop environment and I can see freeze occurs 5-6 times a day .

If there is any workaround please let me know .

I observed this post of kernel and other packages yesterday . Following are the details

Make : Dell E 7470

Kernel's Installed :

rajasekhar@blr-l-prajasekhar:~> rpm -qa | grep kernel-default
kernel-default-4.4.36-8.1.x86_64
kernel-default-4.4.27-2.1.x86_64

I can see screen flickers all of sudden and desktop freezes . Post that nothing works and I need to hard reboot to make things work .
