Bugzilla – Bug 1040782
[20170522] akonadi_imap_re / libKF5MailTransport segfaulting on trying to edit email account
Last modified: 2017-05-25 17:17:25 UTC
Existing IMAP email accounts in Kmail cannot be edited. Clicking the Button in Settings > Accounts lets libKF5MailTransport segfault and akonadi_imap_re core dump. The edit window where one can set login name, password etc. does not open. Happens on two of my installations and two separate users with several different IMAP accounts. Account creation only opens the chooser window. Clicking IMAP there produces the same segfault. libKF5MailTransportAkonadi5-17.04.1-1.1.x86_64 libKF5MailTransport5-17.04.1-1.1.x86_64 kernel: akonadi_imap_re[3119]: segfault at 10 ip 00007fa819978c81 sp 00007fff34d29700 error 4 in libKF5MailTransport.so.5.5.1[7fa81994e000+4e000] systemd[1]: Created slice system-systemd\x2dcoredump.slice. systemd[1]: Started Process Core Dump (PID 6109/UID 0). systemd-coredump[6110]: Resource limits disable core dumping for process 3119 (akonadi_imap_re). systemd-coredump[6110]: Process 3119 (akonadi_imap_re) of user 1111 dumped core.
