Bugzilla – Bug 1100236
mksusecd --rebuild-initrd does not include all required modules
Last modified: 2019-08-31 22:50:56 UTC
Reported via e-mail: > I am trying to build an openSUSE ppc64le kernel, and using mkdud and mksusecd > to create a new iso.(step2 & step3 of the log) > BUT, when I try to install that one it failed miserably in linuxrc as reported > by attached log > > I tried to switch to kernel shell via linuxrc menu, but that one also failed > with: > > 7) Start shell > > 7 > sh: line 0: exec: setctsid: not found
Problem was that mksusecd did not handle the zstd_decompress module specially (that is, keep it out of the compressed kernel module tree) to ensure squashfs images can be uncompressed. Fixed with https://github.com/openSUSE/mksusecd/pull/35
