nm-applet --indicator does not allow to change networks. 

On old LXDE was nm-applet without --indicator prefix.

Hits me on LXQT too.

package-update-indicator in the notification bar has the same issue here.

Sound and notification icons are responding as expected.

The issue is caused by a patch in the appindicators. In the case of nm-applet it should be resolved since it switched to ayatana  indicator that does not include such patch.
