Description Duncan Reeves 2021-01-18 05:13:37 UTC
I currently have sof-firmware version 1.6~rc3-3.1.

I ran a zypper dup, and it tried to update it to version 1.6-1.1. It throws this error:
Error: Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: error: unpacking of archive failed on file /lib/firmware/intel/sof-tplg: cpio: File from package already exists as a directory in system

As far as I'm aware I've never manually changed anything inside the firmware directory.

It appears like this may be a packaging bug?

Sigh, it's a silly feature of rpm.
