boot video (with default boot options)

I am unable to boot up the raspberry pi image http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.3/appliances/openSUSE-Leap-15.3-ARM-JeOS-raspberrypi.aarch64.raw.xz on my raspberry pi 4b.

The same sdcard with 15.3 boots up fine on the rpi 3b+, so the sdcard is fine.
And the SLE15SP4 image works fine on the rpi 4b, so that device shouldn't be broken.

You cut the video at most interesting part :-)

It is known that kernel 5.3.18-150300.59.63-default
have HDMI issues on RPi. See bsc#1198534. I am pretty
sure this is the same bug.

There is nothing happening after that few lines start flashing oddly.
They just do so forever.
But I had to cut the video to fit into the 2MB limit.

Anyway. It will we nice if you could attach serial line to device
just for confirmation that vc4 driver is crashing.

In any case kernel 5.3.18-150300.59.68 should fix the issue.
Please, test and report.
Comment 5 Dominik Heidler 2022-05-20 14:15:36 UTC
I accessed the Pi via serial (ssh worked as well) and updated the kernel to that version which fixed the issue.
