Description Bruno Pitrus 2023-03-06 11:39:09 UTC
I have a Dell Precision 3551 with hybrid intel/nvidia graphics. I'm using suse-prime offload with intel2 driver.

After updating to kernel 6.2.1, nvidia-smi reports cannot communicate with driver.

Trying to `sudo modprobe nvidia` returns

modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'nvidia': Operation not permitted

With kernel 6.2.0 everything works fine.
Comment 1 Stefan Dirsch 2023-03-06 13:03:21 UTC
Known issue.
Comment 2 Stefan Dirsch 2023-03-06 13:05:14 UTC
Duplicate.

Workaround: Either boot a previous kernel (< 6.2.1) or disable Secureboot in your BIOS/Firmware.
