I debugued audacity with ddd and gdb, and I found that the hang
comes from a librarie from the ladspa plugins. Then I recompiled
audacity without ladspa, and it not hangs any more.
The plugin that makes the seg fault in audacity is /usr/lib/ladspa/triangle_1649.so

Do you have a gdb backtrace log?

Thanks, now I can reproduce the same bug on my machine.
The fixed package was submitted to STABLE.
