MozillaThunderbird is currently unable to use the "List-Post" header. This feature is used by lists.suse.com and lists.opensuse.org, and there are lengthy discussions about it on these lists because of lacking support in people's clients:

There is a solution available:

Since Thunderbird 3.0 will not be ready for openSUSE 10.2, please consider applying the patch from https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45715 to the next MozillaThunderbird packages.

Ideally, the extension could be added to the package as well, but this is secondary. The primary point is allowing people to use the extension.

What's possible for SUSE has been done in Thunderbird.
The extension should work with the SUSE package.
