Bugzilla – Bug 199673
[PATCH] sysinfo:/ shows wrong KDE version
Last modified: 2007-01-29 10:09:06 UTC
Although I've upgraded to the latest KDE packages (3.5.4 provided by opensuse.org), sysinfo:/ (typed in the address field of Konqueror) always shows 3.5.1 Level "a".
well, you haven't upgraded kdelibs3 then.
# rpm -qa kdelibs3 kdelibs3-3.5.4-40.1 Moreover, KDE control center states: KDE-Version: 3.5.4 Level "a"
ok, you're right, the plain 10.1 version indeed had it compiled in, but we changed it for SLED. so this is already in our tree, just needs to idle around for a kdebase3-Suse update where it will be automatically then be part of it.
as long the bug is FIXED. The 3.5.4 packages are not supported - for a reason
What does that mean? Will the fix from SLED get into Suse 10.1 eventually or not? I know that KDE packages other than the ones shipped with 10.1 are not supported, but this is still a bug in sysinfo.
yeah, but a bug no-one notices that sticks to supported software. And to answer your question: eventually, yes.
