Description William GENG 2006-09-09 01:54:18 UTC
we can not adjust the text size in new KDE start menu(kickoff).
Comment 1 Stephan Binner 2006-09-09 16:00:28 UTC
Do you think that all/some text is to big/small? For what dpi?
Comment 2 William GENG 2006-09-12 00:44:29 UTC
yeah, for some people, its text size is small.all most all of it.

and,it should own the ability adjusting the text size,I think.
Comment 3 Stephan Kulow 2006-09-12 08:15:15 UTC
for some people or for you? We won't add configure options at this point. The font size in the menu follows the general font even though it's not 100% of it.
Comment 4 William GENG 2006-10-29 03:18:39 UTC
I looks forward to configure options to be added.

Comment 6 Yasha Gindikin 2006-12-21 06:37:36 UTC
The configuration tool to change the font size in kickoff is a must-have, since the default font is hardly readable, and enlarging the system font, to which it is proportional, is not a good solution.
Comment 7 Siegfried Olschner 2006-12-21 07:36:14 UTC
The problem is that KDE is overcrowded with configuration options, but from usability point of view, a separate change of fontsizewould be a nice. We have no big user feedback, but for senior users like me and eva a bigger fontsize would be more convenient. Remember that the start menu is a central and often used place.

Perhaps we can combine this with a a hover-effect switch on/off. The hover effect can cause problems with disabled persons, having that hav problems with precise mouse movements.
Comment 8 Stephan Binner 2007-01-04 15:02:13 UTC
Added to SVN kickerrc option: "[General] KickoffFontPointSizeOffset=3" for increasing (decreasing for negative value) relative font scale.
Comment 9 Stephan Kulow 2007-01-25 16:04:44 UTC
Then let's do it together with the other kdebase patches pending
Comment 10 Stephan Binner 2007-02-02 16:21:33 UTC
Added to Fix_Is_Ready/10.2/kdebase3/
