Description Christian Boltz 2006-09-17 15:11:25 UTC
I have the latest package management update from ~aj (libzypp-1.3.2-0.4) installed.

zen-updater displays the following error message here:

Fehler bei Transaktion: Resolvable libzypp 1533-0
    (ftp://ftp4.gwdg.de/pub/suse/update/10.1) not found.

I tried several times and always got this error message. I have also seen it some days ago, but it went away magically.

I can access the server when I test with a FTP client, and repodata/patch-libzypp-1533.xml exists and is downloadable.

This bug might be related to bug 191089, but IMHO it isn't a duplicate of the initial report.

zen-updater showed errors on my machine too.
Using you I was able to install the update without any problems.
If you run you again after the update it shows the following dependency conflict:

#### YaST2 conflicts list - generated 2006-09-20 22:28:28 ####

patch:libzypp-2083-0.noarch[20060724-185823] cannot be installed due to missing dependencies
There are no installable providers of yast2-qt == 2.13.60-0.5 for patch:libzypp-2083-0.noarch[20060724-185823]
    Conflict Resolution:
( ) do not install libzypp
( ) Ignore this requirement just here

This is how it looks to a "normal enduser"....

All 4 patches recieved today seem to have this type of problem!
i.e. a dependancy on "something else" that Software Updater doesn't know how to install.

It begs the question, why would a patch require the installation of additional software?

Other patches that show the problem are -

apache2-mod_php5
xmms-plugins
xorg-x11-server

filelist.xml.gz is broken, this is likely the cause of this.
