Description Terje J. Hanssen 2006-10-08 21:24:01 UTC
A visual issue in application's pulldown menus (i.e Firefox), is that when pointing on menu entries with the mouse pointer, the activated text becomes invisible on the light (white) menu entry (maybe due to text vs background colors). Default setup of desktop background and colors were used

Here the mouse cursor is here pointing on the Firefox drop-down menu File>Print. The text disappear on the active "Print" menu entry.

64 bit, I assume this is the old 32bit theme engine not installed error.

Gary, do you remember what we need to install to fix this like in SLED 10?
Comment 3 Andreas Hanke 2006-10-17 01:13:07 UTC
gtk2-engines-32bit:

http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/2821307/com/gtk2-engines-32bit-2.6.5-5.x86_64.rpm.html

It is already part of the gnome_basis-32bit pattern:

http://ftp.opensuse.org/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/suse/setup/descr/gnome_basis-32bit-10.2-49.x86_64.pat

But it's not getting installed because the pattern is supposed to be pulled in via "Freshens/Supplements" which doesn't work: Bug 210538
Comment 4 Gary Ekker 2006-10-17 15:12:55 UTC
Correct, this is indeed part of the pattern and on the media. Just need to get the resolver fixed.
Comment 5 JP Rosevear 2006-10-18 01:46:51 UTC
Who should this bug go to then?
Comment 6 Gary Ekker 2006-10-18 16:13:27 UTC
Resolving as duplicate.
