I added a new installation source and during this operation many meta data
files are downloaded from the source. This takes time. 

I saw that also translations were downloaded which were not necessary on my system, for example:

packages.cs
packages.es
packages.fr
...

I have installed a german system so I need the english and the german translation, but not more. 

An additional feature would be:

When I go to the yast2 language module and change the language(or add a second one) yast should go over all sources and download the missing translations.
