Bugzilla – Bug 220249
on session resume, firefox warns that it did not shut down properly
Last modified: 2007-11-14 19:05:01 UTC
Under KDE, when restored by session management, Firefox warns that it did not shut down properly on the last exit and asks if it should restore the last (firefox) session or start a new one. What further information can I provide? There is no firefox or mozilla in .xsession-errors.
It happens to me to. In my case I have it configure to "Show my windows and tabs from the last time", to I would expect it to simply open in the same state it was closed (like konqueror does). However I allayws get that error reported here on startup.
Happens under GNOME as well, if you check 'save setup' or similar in the logout dialog. Firefox does not react well to being closed by session management. bnc-team-mozilla: Please assign this to the relevant developer, this is in RC2 now and you haven't done anything about it.
There is a lot of work more important than fixing this.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I assumed that aliases of the form bnc-team were screeners, and eg kde-maintainers were developer lists. OT: I use ASSIGNED, priority P4 to separate "It is an issue but i have more important stuff to do first" from "I haven't looked at it yet".</eggsuckinglesson>
