Bugzilla – Bug 221592
Sax segfaults when pressing "save" during installation
Last modified: 2006-11-16 10:04:20 UTC
In the hardware config screen during installation I changed the resolution (from 1280x1024 to 1024x768) and then adjusted the X screen 3 or 4 mousclicks further left. When it was centered I hit the Save button and then saw a segfault in YaST quickly on the screen (too quickly to capture it), then the system booted into the system and is now up in runlevel 5 (reached) but still in text mode. System (zert162.suse.de, default PW for root and for "testuser") is now in this state and can be inspected in my office. Black computer/kbd/mouse and Vision Master Pro450 Monitor. Feel free to check or let me know which debug info/logs you need. This is a regression compared to SUSE Linux 10.1 and SLE 10.
Adding hwinfo output and tarball of YaST/SaX/X logs and X conf files.
Created attachment 105574 [details] hwinfo output of this machine zert162.suse.de
Created attachment 105575 [details] tarball of YaST, SaX, X logs and X conf files.
Stefan, yet another one with the same problem
