Description James Mason 2006-12-06 19:27:50 UTC
The opensuseupdater applet displays with the generic document icon when using the tango icon theme.

IMHO, the applet should use the system-software-update icon (like zen updater).

Taskbar with tango-icon-theme enabled.

I am getting the same thing - default document icon in place of most tango icons in 10.2.

Sorry, Do you mean KDE tango iconset?
Comment 7 Craig Millar 2007-02-05 15:00:23 UTC
Yes. Use of the tango icons in KDE results in icons not showing up in several places, as seen for example in the taskbar icons screens above. Coming up - screens of the KDE control center - one with Tango (half the icons missing) and one with Crystal SUSE (full set of icons).

Which info do you need for this bug?

Icons are also missing in openSUSE 10.3 Alpha2 with updates from 23.03.2007.

Shall I open a new bug report for that?
Comment 12 Thomas Göttlicher 2007-08-23 13:25:43 UTC

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 268873 ***
Comment 13 James Mason 2007-08-24 04:59:08 UTC
This bug is not a duplicate of 268873. That bug is , apparently, an issue with the size of icons available for the control center.

This bug was filed on opensuseupdater.

So... is opensuseupdater gone? If not, does opensuseupdater have an icon in the tango set? If neither, this bug should still be open.
Comment 14 Thomas Göttlicher 2007-08-24 07:28:08 UTC
This bug (#226528) is about missing icons when using tango theme.
And Bug 268873 is about the problem that tango theme doesn't use KDE's "default" icons when a tango icon is unavailable. Therefore fixing #268873 solves #226528 too.
